Apply to be a Tween/Teen Volunteer or Book Buddy!
Are you looking for a fun way to give back to the community? Have you always been curious about what it's like to work in a library? Or maybe you need community service hours for school? You should apply to be a volunteer at our Library! You can apply to be a Tween/Teen Volunteer or a Book Buddy.
Tween/Teen Volunteers will help with tasks around the Library, such as assisting with craft prep, light cleaning, and other projects.
In our new Book Buddies program, volunteers will be paired with young readers entering grades 1–3. You’ll help them choose books, listen as they read, and join them in group activities. This volunteer program focuses on building confidence and fostering a love of reading—not formal tutoring.
The River Forest Public Library welcomes middle school and teen volunteers to help fulfill the Library’s strategic goals and mission.
