March 1-March 31
Head upstairs to our Local Spotlight Display and enjoy a beautiful showcase of artwork created by Willard Elementary School students in Grades K–4.
Art teacher Georgi Beck describes the exhibit as a “curricular snapshot,” highlighting what students have been learning throughout the year. Their work reflects a wide range of artistic goals and explorations, including fundamental elements of art—line, color, shape, and pattern—and key art studies of cityscapes and still life.
Students experimented with a variety of materials and techniques such as paper weaving, watercolors, colored pencils, painting, and printmaking, resulting in whimsical and fun pieces that will brighten your day.
Come take a look and celebrate the creativity of our young artists!
