Introducing our New Website

Our new website is here! For the past 6 months, Library staff have been working hard in partnership with our website firm, Library Market, to bring you a new and improved library website.

A big part of our work involved collecting feedback from our community and staff. Many of the improvements you will find were driven by that feedback. In addition, our new website meets accessibility and ADA compliance requirements and is fully integrated with our calendar system.

Some highlights:

  • Navigation has been reorganized to make things easier to find. Easily see everything on the site by browsing the mega-menu at the top., which features 5 sections: Books and Borrowing, Events, Resources, Services, and About. You can still quickly access the catalog through the search bar at the top, and also have the option to search the website.

  • Quick links – clickable icons right below the homepage image - connect you to the most frequently searched sections of the website directly, without having to use the menu bar.

  • Easily find age-specific content by using the Kids, Tweens and Teens, or Adults and Seniors buttons, right below the Quick Links.

  • Online resources, which were accessed through our Digital Library page on our old website, are now searchable by type, topic, and age group.

  • Discover our Library of Things - which includes tech items, games, and more - through its own searchable page.

  • Easily find information about Winter and Summer Reading on the dedicated pages for these programs.

  • Explore community resources and partnerships in a newly added section.

  • Get all your questions answered on our new and improved FAQ page

We hope that you enjoy our new website and find it easy to use. If you have any questions or need help navigating the new site, we are here to help. You can use our chat service, call us at 708-366-5205, or email us at reference@riverforestlibrary.org.
