December Art Display: Casey Jones

Explore the vibrant work of Casey Jones, on display upstairs throughout December.

Casey is a self-taught outsider artist who finds inspiration in folk traditions and unconventional creators from around the world. Her work, especially her bird-themed pieces, reflects a deep connection to nature and a commitment to environmental awareness.

Her art has been exhibited at the Uri Eichen Gallery and the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art at the College of Lake County, where her Red-Headed Woodpecker received an Honorable Mention in the 2022 “Recent Works” exhibition. In January 2023, her bird illustrations were also featured at the Maze Branch of the Oak Park Public Library.

Through her art, Casey hopes to encourage viewers to reflect on conservation issues and explore creative ways to recycle and repurpose materials.
