Warming Centers and Resources
The Village of Oak Park’s Emergency Warming Center will be OPEN at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (611 Randolph St., Oak Park) from is open through Saturday, January 24 at 12pm.
On Saturday the Warming Center will MOVE to the Bridge Center (38 N. Austin Blvd., Oak Park) until Monday, January 26 at 8am.
Housing Forward's Support Center (1851 S. 9th Ave., Maywood), Berwyn Public Library, Cicero Public Library, Forest Park Public Library, Proviso Township Center, and all branches of the Oak Park Public Library are open as local daytime warming centers for anyone in need.
For overnight stays:
- Maywood Courthouse--1500 Maybrook Dr. in Maywood
- Cook County courthouse warming centers will be open 24 hours beginning January 22 and will remain open continuously until 4:30 pm on Monday, January 26.
These locations provide a warm space, access to restrooms, water, and snacks. Pets are welcome in carriers, with a limited number available on site.
- Good Shepard Church- 611 Randolph St in Oak Park. Open 24/7 now until noon on Saturday, January 24.
- St Catherine/St. Lucy Church--38 N Austin Blvd in Oak Park. Open 24/7 Saturday, January 24 afternoon through 8 am on Monday, January 26.
