We’ve added a Collection Display Case to the Children’s Room where kids in grades PreK-4 can display their collections for a two-week period. What kind of collections? Anything! From stuffies to Legos, books to trading cards, the sky is the limit! Have a collection you want to share with the community? Visit the Children’s Room to sign up.
The Display Case was made possible by a generous grant from River Forest Public Library Foundation. In addition to the display case, the grant funded new forward-facing shelving, which highlights our Board Book collection for easier browsing and enjoyment and new iPads downloaded with kid-friendly apps that kids (up to Grade 4) will be able to borrow and use in the Children's Room with their library card. The new iPads will be available soon!

About this collection:
Adiv (7) and his sister Shalva (8) share this collection of Mold-A-Ramas from the Museum of Science and Industry, The Field Museum, and the Brookfield Zoo. Some were purchased with their own money; others were purchased by Mom and Dad or their grandparents. Adiv’s favorite is George Washington; Shalva’s favorite is the koala. The first one in the collection was the dinosaur.
