Starting October 1, 2025, the monthly checkout limit on hoopla will change from 12 to 7 items per library card.
We know hoopla is a favorite among many of our patrons, and we want to share why this change is happening—and how you can still make the most of your digital library experience. Please know that this decision was not made lightly.
The platform's popularity has soared, which is wonderful! But because the library pays for each item borrowed, the current usage levels are stretching our budget. Reducing the limit helps us continue offering hoopla sustainably. This adjustment will help us manage costs responsibly while still providing you with access to this valuable resource.
