2025 was an exciting year for the Library!
We hosted our first Artisan Fair, celebrated the Library’s 120th birthday, and began the final phase of construction in the Children’s Room.
Our new community room is expected to be complete by the end of January 2026 and will provide a multi-purpose community space with modern finishes, including updated lighting, a screen for presentations, a sink and cabinetry, seating for 20, and 6 meeting tables. A new ADA-accessible bathroom will also be added to the children's space, which will be a convenient addition for library patrons.
This work was made possible by a $300,000 pledge from the River Forest Public Library Foundation in conjunction with capital funds.
