Winter Legends & Lore

After treating us to a popular program in 2023 on the most haunted places in Illinois, paranormal researcher Chad Lewis returns to the Library to share strange legends and lore of the winter season. 

Winter may seem like a quiet time, but it is actually filled with bizarre folklore: stories of superstitions to cause a school snow day, winter spirits, odd Santa Claus tales, the deadly Wendigo, Krampus the Christmas monster, werewolves, witches, people being buried alive, and numerous other twisted holiday traditions for the darkest days of the year!
