Program Description

Attention introverts! Would you like to read in a communal setting, but without the assigned reading or forced discussion of a traditional book club? Come to our silent reading party at Black Fodder Coffee! We'll have the whole coffee shop to ourselves. Here's how it works:

  1. Bring a book, any book — we don't all need to be reading the same one. (The Library will supply a selection of books too, in case you need an extra.)
  2. Order a beverage from the barista on duty, and enjoy some light snacks provided by the Library.
  3. Optional socializing before the silent reading starts — chat about what you're reading, if you like.
  4. Grab a comfy seat and read silently for an hour in the company of other readers.
  5. More optional socializing to conclude the night.
