Apply to be a Middle School or Teen Volunteer!  

Are you looking for a fun way to give back to the community? Have you always been curious about what it’s like to work in a library? Or maybe you need community service hours for school? You should apply to be a volunteer at our Library!

The River Forest Public Library welcomes middle school and teen volunteers to help fulfill the Library’s strategic goals and mission.  

Requirements to Volunteer 

• All volunteers must be in grades 5-12 
• River Forest residents only 
• Available to work at least one 2-hour shift each week during the summer 
• Must participate in an orientation session 
• Parent or guardian must sign Volunteer Release and Waiver Agreement

First, you can download it to your computer, fill out the form, save it to your computer, and email it to volunteer@riverforestlibrary.org. Another option is to download it to your computer, print it out, and either scan it to email or bring it in person to the Adult & Teen Services Desk.  

At this time, we do not have volunteer opportunities for other age groups.
