Regular Library Hours

Mondays -Thursday:  9 AM-9 PM

Friday-Saturday:  9 AM-5 PM

Sunday: 1 PM- 5 PM

The Library is closed on Sundays Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Parking

Library patrons may park on Lathrop Avenue in front of the Library, where 6 spaces are available for 30 minutes and 1 handicapped space is available with no time limit. 3 hour parking is also available along the east side of Jackson Avenue. Patrons may park on Chicago Avenue or other area streets unless posted signage indicates otherwise.

RFPL has limited use of the adjacent parking lot south of the building, as it is owned by District 90. Library patrons have access to 9 designated visitor spaces during the day and additional spaces when school is not in session. A bookdrop has been installed in the interior Lathrop drive in order to provide for easy return of library materials.

Meeting Room Use

River Forest card holders in good standing may reserve the one public meeting room, for groups of up to 50 people, by completing a request form.

Computer Use & Printing

Free wifi is available throughout the building and in the front garden via the RFPL_Public network, with no password needed. Seated public Internet workstations are available for children on the first floor and for adults and teens on the second floor. Adult River Forest card holders may also check out a laptop for use in the building. Limited computer guest passes are available for non-River Forest residents.

Printing is available in the Library for $.10/page for black ink and $.50/page for color ink. You may also send a print job from outside of the library building and print it out at the Library using our web printing service.

Photocopying, Scanning, and Fax Services

Photocopying in the Library
River Forest Public Library has two photocopy machines for patron use, one on each floor. Photocopies cost $.10/page for black ink and $.50/page for color ink.

Document Scanning
From both printers, you may scan documents at no charge and save them to a USB drive or send them to a valid email address.

Fax Services
The Library provides a free self-service fax machine on the second floor. The fax machine will send up to 20 pages at a time. We are unable to provide international faxing of documents or to receive faxes for our patrons.
