September 15-October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month and your Library is here to celebrate with you.   

Throughout the month, you will find special displays in the library building, highlighting titles featuring Hispanic authors or themes. Stop by to explore and discover something new.

Alebrije Workshop
Wednesday, 10/2, 3:15-4:30 PM, Grades 5-8
Middle Schoolers are invited to celebrate Hispanic American Heritage Month by learning about Alebrije and where they come from during a short presentation. Then, each person receives their own 3D printed alebrije and supplies to paint it! Registration required.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Erika Sánchez, award-winning author of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, joined in conversation by Cynthia Pelayo. Registration required. 

Salsa Dance Class for Beginners
Sunday, 10/13, 2-3 PM, Adult
This workshop led by an instructor from Desueño Dance is designed to give participants an introduction to Salsa dancing. The class will cover basic steps and movements done individually, so no partners are necessary. Brought to you in partnership with the River Forest Township. Registration required.
