How can I see if I am registered to vote?
You may use the registration lookup tool on the Illinois State Board of Elections website, or ask Library staff to check for you.
How do I register to vote?
You may fill out the online voter registration application on the Illinois State Board of Elections website through March 19. The deadline to register by mail or in person has already passed, but you may also register on Election Day at your polling place. If you plan to register on Election Day, you must bring two forms of identification, one with a current address.
How can I find out where my polling place is?
You may use the polling place lookup tool on the Illinois State Board of Elections website, or ask Library staff to check for you. Another option is to check the Village of River Forest’s precinct map.
Can I vote early?
Registered voters may vote early at any of these Cook County locations between March 20 and April 3.
Can I vote by mail?
You may request a mail ballot on the Cook County Clerk website. The deadline to request a mail ballot is five days before the election, March 29. You may also print an application for a mail ballot or ask Library staff to print it for you.
