Here are 5 ways your library can help. 


  1. Complete this online form and you will receive personalized recommendations from one of our librarians.  
  1. Subscribe to our booklists that have been handpicked by our librarians. We have a wide selection of topics to choose from for all age groups. Once you subscribe, you will receive the lists you choose by email, and you will be able to click on titles to place holds right away.  
  1. Explore Novelist Plus or Novelist K-8 Plus, available for free with your library card. Novelist Plus provides read-alikes and recommendations for fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels and audiobooks. Novelist K-8 provides reading recommendations for kids’ fiction and nonfiction that you can search by Lexile, subject, and grade level.   
  1. Come to the Library and chat with our librarians at the service desk upstairs or in the children’s room. We are here to help you! You can also call (708.366.5205, x316 – adults and teens, x312 – children).
