New and improved wireless and in-house printing services available
You may have noticed that our old printers have been replaced with shiny new ones. Printing, copying, and scanning continues to be available on these machines. In addition, you can now pay for print jobs with a credit card on our upstairs printer. No need to scrounge together your loose change anymore when printing at the Library. Pricing for printing and copying remains the same: grayscale is $.10/page and color is $.50/page. The Library provides every patron $.50 of free printing credit per day.
If you need to print from home or from a personal device, our wireless printing service has been updated and improved. Some of the highlights are:
- Instructions can be translated into 80 languages. In the top right corner of the site, select the language you would like from the drop-down menu.
- You can now upload and send multiple jobs at once. Go to the middle of the page to drag and drop your file or upload it. If you have multiple jobs, you can upload all your files here. For example, you can upload a PDF, a Word doc, and a JPG, then change the printing options for each one, and send them all at once.
- You will receive an email and a text (if you choose) telling you what to type in to release the job and how much it will cost. At the bottom of the page, you will be asked for your name or library card number. Whatever is entered in this box is what you need to enter in the kiosk to release the job.
- A free app is available to make it easier to send jobs from personal devices. It is called ePrintit SAAS and you can download it from the Google Play or Apple Store.
We hope that these improvements will make printing more convenient for everyone. If you have any questions, our Adult and Teen Services staff can assist you.
