Give Children Chores
Giving children household chores at an early age is a reliable indicator of future well-being and success. Children who help with dishes, yard work, cleaning, cooking, and other regular tasks:
*feel needed and connected to their families
*build mastery and skills necessary for independence
*learn caring and empathy for others
Children who identify as “helpers” become happy and productive members of their schools, libraries, community centers, and workplaces.
