Label objects in your home.
Whether you’re working with new readers or learning a new language, labeling objects in your home can help build language and reading skills. Write words of every day objects such as “table” and “cup” then attach the label to that object. Seeing the word attached to the object will help establish the connection between the word and the object. Labeling them in different languages can help build language vocabulary as well!
Use creating the labels as a chance for a writing exercise, too. Have children practice writing the words to create labels with you!
