Set an Example

Children learn by example. While spending time reading with them, make sure you find time to read for yourself. Reading with and to your children is, of course, an incredibly important part of literacy development. However, we know young children love to imitate. When you show them you reading your own books and reading for fun for yourself, they will want to imitate and read their own books for fun.
