Children’s Room Update to Begin 11/9

The Children’s Room will be getting some exciting updates, including new shelving, carpet, paint, and a new service desk. These updates will make the Children’s Room more welcoming and the collections more functional and ADA compliant. We will be closing the Children’s Room during this renovation, beginning on November 9. It will reopen on November 16.

We are incredibly grateful to River Forest Public Library Foundation and the many generous donors who made the Children’s Room project possible.

The campaign kicked off in August 2018 with a major gift from an anonymous River Forest family and was supported by 100 donors with gifts ranging from $10 to $30,000. Many thanks to everyone who contributed. We are excited to bring you a new and improved Children’s room in just a few weeks.
