Renovation Update Week 3

Our renovation project has been progressing well. The demolition phase is complete, resulting in a dramatically different space. The wall that was formerly used to display community information has been removed as well as the walls around the Director’s office. 

Drywall and aluminum framing have arrived and framing will begin during the first week of October. We should see some new walls a few weeks after framing is complete.

In addition to our interior renovation, some much needed repairs to our slate roof will begin on Tuesday, October 1st. Currently, the slate roof is leaking over the 900s on the second floor. These repairs are estimated to take two weeks to complete, depending on the weather. The roof work should not affect access to the building as our roofing contractors will be installing scaffolding over the meeting room entry/exit door.
