Local author and activist Angalia Bianca shares stories from her new book, In Deep: How I Survived Gangs, Heroin, and Prison to Become a Chicago Violence Interrupter. Angalia overcame a life of addiction and crime to become an advocate for violence prevention and helping others. She has won humanitarian awards from many local, national, and global organizations and has been featured in The Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, BBC News London, CNN, and more.
