Parents Read for Pleasure

During the dog days of summer, there is nothing quite as relaxing as lounging in a hammock or beach chair reading a good book.  Make your own reading part of the day and you will be modeling a valuable lifelong habit for your children. Show them that reading is not just work or school-related, but is a pleasurable part of every day for everybody in the home.  Next time you visit the library with your children, take them upstairs to browse the adult collection and check out your own books.  You’ll also find helpful book lists and recommendations on our website.
