Early Literacy Tip—July 2018

Sing Out Loud

Singing songs is a natural way to learn about language.  Songs develop listening skills and emphasize the different sounds that make up words.  Songs also help children learn new words and information.  Sing out loud with your children and enjoy plenty of smiles and giggles. Check out the library’s CD collection or access hoopla, a digital media service to find new music you and your children can enjoy together.
