Multisensory Letter Practice
Children learn and retain information better when they engage with materials using a variety of senses. When learning and practicing letter writing, do not rely on pencil and paper alone. Try some of the following mediums that engage their sense of touch. Place the material in a shallow box or on a cookie tray and let children use their fingers to make letters.
*Salt, Sugar, or Sand…mix in colored sprinkles for extra fun
*Shaving cream
*Frosting
*Finger paint
