Tips for Using E-Books
Electronic books, called e-books, are becoming more commonplace and many now include enhanced features that let you and your child listen to music that complements the story, play story-related games, complete coloring pages, and more. Most children find interactive e-books fun and engaging. Parents can help keep the focus on reading by following three simple suggestions:
*Allow time to handle the device and for exploration of the novelty features like coloring or games the first few times your child is exposed to the e-book.
*Then set out to read or listen to the whole story without interruptions.
*Stay present with your child throughout the book experience to ask questions, interact, point, and share your love of reading.
