Getting a Library Card is easy!
At the Library, present a picture ID reflecting a current River Forest address (such as a driver's license or state ID) and current proof of residency in River Forest (utility bill, bank statement, vehicle registration, or postmarked envelope sent within the last three months).
Children and teens under
the age of 18 must have their parents sign their application for a card
and present proof of River Forest residency.
Your card can be processed on the spot.
Your card must be renewed every two years, and can be used in all
Metropolitan Library System libraries, as well as Chicago Public Library
