You can access your library account through SWAN, our online catalog. On the library webpage, click on the left hand link that says “Check my account;place holds; renew items.” You will be taken directly to the log-in page in SWAN. You will need to type in your name, your library card number (which is the 14 digit number found on the back of your library card), and your PIN. If you have not created a PIN before simply type what you would like it to be (any combination of numbers and letters) in the PIN field and hit the "Submit" button. A new screen will appear that will ask you to retype your PIN two more times. Hit "Submit" one more time and it will take you to your account information page. This page should list all the items that you have checked out as well as any fines you may owe. You may renew materials through SWAN if the items are not yet overdue. You may also view items you have on hold by clicking on the “requests (holds)” link in the colored box next to your name. If you have forgotten your PIN or are unsure if you have created one before you must contact the library. We cannot tell you what your PIN is because it is in our system in code. However, we can delete it and you can then set a new PIN following the above steps. If you have any questions or need assistance with this process please don’t hesitate to contact us at the 2nd floor Adult Services Desk, 708-366-5205 ext. 316 or send an email to reference@riverforestlibrary.org.
