with bestselling author and Northwestern University Professor Michele Weldon.
Weldon is an
award-winning assistant professor at the Medill School of Journalism,
Northwestern University, where she has taught on the undergraduate and graduate
levels since 1996. She is a former contributing writer to the
Chicago Tribune
from 1989 to 2003, former columnist and feature writer for the
Dallas Times
Herald, and a freelance
contributor to numerous national and local publications. She is the author of
the 1999 best-selling memoir,
I Closed My
Eyes, and the 2001 book,
Writing
