Board of Trustees River Forest Public Library River Forest, Illinois Minutes Regular Board Meeting December 18th, 2007 8:00 PM Call to Order and Roll Call President Mark Coe called the regular meeting to order at 8 p.m. Vice-President Horstman called the roll. Present were Trustees Coe, Cusack, Horstman, Fischer, O’Connor, and Beck. Trustee Halloran was excused. Also present was staff member Blaire Ranucci. Oak Park Public Library’s Human Resources Director, Kay Speyer, attended the meeting on Dee Brennan and Sarah Hampson’s behalf. Audience to Visitors, Trustee and Staff Comments Blaire Ranucci informed the Board of Trustees that she would be taking over Teen Services hours effective after January 1. Consent Agenda Mr. Coe requested a motion to approve the December Consent Agenda which included the November Treasurer’s Report and the Warrant and Benefit List for the period of November 14, 2007 through December 10. Also included were the minutes of the regular Board meeting on November 20, and the minutes from the special meetings on November 27 and December 4. The minutes were shelved until the next meeting. Trustee Horstman moved that the Board accept the Consent Agenda. Trustee O’Connor seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken and all trustees voted “aye.” The library still has not received the tax revenue that is expected. Communications A. Announcements The holiday party is scheduled for January 4th. Trustee Coe wanted to know what details Chris Soriano had requested for the levy. The Interim Directors and the bookkeeper would have to answer those questions. B. Patron Suggestions No suggestions were distributed this month Director’s Report Trustees were interested in the parking space issue on the West side of Lathrop. Trustee O’Connor pointed out that the library should have received notice as an interested party. Trustees acknowledged that it was unfortunate that none of the Board was in attendance for the Village meeting. Trustee Coe will contact John Hagensick to discuss the issue of communication and what the library can do about parking. Old Business There were no items of Old Business. New Business There were no items of New Business. Executive Session At 8:27 PM Trustee Cusack moved to go into Executive Session. Beck seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
